Popular Ghanaian chanteuse Ebony ( born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng) yesterday December 6 at the Golden Tulip Hotel – Accra, held a corporate launch for her debut album “BONYFIED”.
The glamorous event, attended by connoisseurs, industry colleagues, media, and admirers, serves as precursor to a launch concert at the West Hills Mall on December 9. Dubbed the “Soloku BONYFIED Concert”, it is also expected to witness performances from Samini, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, MzVee, King Prmise, Kurl Songx, and a host of others.
Popular persons as KOD, MUSIGA’s Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, Root I, Ded Buddy, manager and Ruff N Smooth member Bullet, Giovanni Caleb, 4×4 members Coded and Captain Planet all graced the event.
Compered by musician/ radio presenter Trigmatic, the night also saw her (backed by the dynamic Safoa band) deliver live performances of some of her most-known records including “Kupe”, “Poison”,”Sponsor”, “Date Your Fada”, and “Hustle”, as well as a saucy rendition of the Alhaji K. Frimpong classic “Kyenkyen Bi Adi M’awu” with Accra-based OK FM‘s Abeiku Santana.
The program also saw guest performances from colleague singers Efya, Kurl Songx, Kaaki, and Brella.
20, Ebony has had a tremendous 2017, submitting a significant percentage of hits from the year, as well as mounting nearly all major platforms over the period.
She has also been the target of ample criticism, especially for her wardrobe choices.
The launch was supported by beverage giants Kasapreko, who also purchased the first copy of “BONYFIED” for Ghs 5,000.
