Organisers of the 2017 edition of Starr FM’s “S Concert” have issued an apology to popular acts  Samini, Ebony and Mr. Eazi, who could not perform at the show due to reported backstage challenges.

The acts were expected to join a long list of A – list and budding acts alike at the hugely -attended event, but could not mount the stage, much to the disappointment to timing fans who throng to the Accra Sports Stadium Friday, December 1.

The statement, signed by Kwasi Anim Adjei (General Manager, Radio & Print) stressed that the “S Concert” stage remains “one for all”, promising an even better show in 2018.

At the 2017 edition of the annual S Concert event, some of our announced acts were not able to perform.

We regret this and take full responsibility. We would like to convey our sincere apologies to all concerned, especially Samini, Ebony and Mr. Eazi.

We also would want to apologize to the teeming fans who came out in their numbers to support these acts.

The S Concert platform remains one for all and we are sad this happened particularly to some of our most revered local acts.

To the thousands who showed up at this year’s S Concert, we owe you so much for being part of yet another historic edition. See you all next year, for a bigger and better event.

The fourth edition, EIB Network’s “S Concert” drew an estimated 40, 000 to the Accra Sports Stadium in what is without doubt, the biggest outdoor concert in the country.

The concert was compered by a sterling line-up of hosts from the EIB Network: Jason, Giovani Caleb, Sammy B, KOD among others.

The 2017 S Concert is sponsored by Storm Energy Drink, Accra City Hotel, Express Savings and Loans, Ghana Post GPS, Hubtel, and Cosmopolitan Health Insurance.
