Esteemed broadcaster Desmond Lamptey of Accra-based Class FM, was over the weekend at the State Banquet Hall, honoured for his immense contribution in Peace Education.
A glowing citation lauded him for his “outstanding care, compassion, kindness, sacrifice and commitment for the well-being of others worldwide” over the years.
Host of “Country on Class”, Mr. Lamptey was up for three awards on the night, which also saw Dentaa, Ben Brako, Asamoah Gyan, Honourable, Dr Ekow Spio Gabrah, The late Major Maxwell Mahama, and Kwasi Pratt also pick up awards.
Previous winners of the Ghana Peace Awards include President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin and Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, among others.
This year’s ceremony was held under the theme: “A Peaceful Ghana; One people – working together”. See images:
