Bearing its name from the native Ashanti name for Tiger, known as a symbol of strength, dynamism and passion, the Creative Director and CEO of Captain Carter Mens Closet, Yaw Sarpong-KumanKuma stated that as manners make a man, so does “osebor” tell his story. Captain Carter Mens Closet since it’s establishment has had many international affiliations even though from Ghana. It sells more in the United States and Europe on Pre-order basis clothing many musicians, sportsmen and dignitaries.
According to Yaw, The main mandate is to sell the symbolism of Ghanaian tradition into the diaspora through fashion, hence titling his clothing line with certain traditional names like “Tete Ntama” (literally meaning cloth from old times), “Onyina” (a spiritual tree in the tropical forest), “Asanka” (an earthing wear bowl usually used to serve food for Kings) etc.
Touching more on his new shoe brand, he said, “though the Osebor screams luxury, its simplicity in design and its comfort is a must-have for every man due to its quality and difference.
