Chale Wote, Ghana’s biggest platform for alternative art, music, dance and performance returns to the coastal city of Jamestown.

A week-long event, it is attended by thousands every year, including celebrities across various aspects of society.

Chale Wote was founded in 2011, and aims at promoting alternative art through street painting, graffiti murals, photography, theater, spoken word, interactive art installations, live street performances, extreme sports, film shows, a fashion parade, a music block party, recyclable design workshops, among others.

This year’s edition is held under the theme “Wata Mata”.
