Prolific young rapper Akan steps out in daring new images made by Accra Photos. Using everyday props in surroundings only familiar to the true hustler, the Manhole rapper sports a green beret over a tattered bright yellow suit and classic glasses.
Handmade beads rest on his neck and wrist, and his soles are covered in solid black boots. These images, like his music, express a powerful message about how possible it is for a rose to germinate from concrete.
Akan released his self-titled debut EP in March 2015, and has since then, grown from strength to strength — earning endorsement from icons as Da’ Hammer and Okomfour Kwadee. Possessing a prolific command in Twi ( the primary language of his delivery), he is author of Helebaba (ft. Worlasi), Flow No, Kae, among others.
