Dancehall singer Shatta Wale attracted droves to the Washington DC leg of his ongoing 2017 US Tour.
Characterised by intermittent deafening chants of “Wale, Wale”, the concert was nothing short of monumental, with patrons dancing and cheering on their messiah, who in turn steered energy levels to never-before seen altitudes.
The Washington DC gig follows a historic one in Worcester, Massachusetts days earlier, where he had been decorated with Keys to the City after the performance.
Born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, Shatta Wale is author of After the Storm, a dozen mixtapes, and is also holder of an endless list of laurels, including a 2014 award for VGMA Artist of the Year.
