Ghanaian hiphop act M.anifest  not only performed at the main stage of the ongoing 2017 Midem Artist Accelerator (MAA) event in France, but was on Wednesday June 7, also presented with an award at the International Midem Awards which came off in Cannes, France.

One of 11 finalists from across the globe  to be part of the programme which ends tomorrow June 9, he will have his compelling W’ani Aba featured on Midem’s communications, and its official 2017 vinyl compilation.

Presented by SONY, it is put together to “support managers, agents, labels and publishers as they look to grow their artists’ profiles globally, it’s the opportunity to promote 11 upcoming international talents selected by an Artistic Committee”.

The 2017 Artistic Committee consists celebrated American musician Wyclef Jean, Puerto Rican artist and mogul Daddy Yankee, Devraj Sanyal (MD & CEO of Universal Music Group  – South Asia), Renneth Tshisikule (Founder & Director at The Independent Music Exporters – South Africa), Laurence Muller ( Founder & CEO of Snoot, Paris), Yoon Young -Kong (Founder & Executive Producer of Zandari Culture Company – South Korea), Pitchfork President Christopher Kaskie among other global music influencers.


Born Kwame Ametepe Tsikata, M.anifest is multiple award winner, author of 5 outstanding albums, and a top name in Ghanaian and African music.
