Ghanaian International Event Company, Akwaaba UK (The Akwaaba Group), organized a concert for Ghanaian musicians Kwabena Kwabena and Kofi Kinaata dubbed “Easter Jam with Kwabena Kwabena and Kofi Kinaata” on Saturday 15th April 2017 at the Royal Regency in London.

The Highlife artiste of the year at the 2017 edition of the prestigious Vodafone Ghana music awards performed several of his hit songs notably among them is Confession.

Kofi is popularly referred to as the Fanti Rap God (FRG) because of his dexterity with the language. He won the Song Writer of the Year and Best New Artiste of the Year awards at the 2016 edition of the Ghana Music awards and the Highlife song and highlife artiste of the year at the just ended VGMAs.

In 2015 he released a song “Made In Taadi” which was a jam for most Fanti people due to the link to their famous “ankos” (fancy dressing dancers) annual festival which happens during Christmas. In 2016 he released yet another banger in December, “Confession” with most people relating the song to “Jesus Take The Wheel”. The song received considerable playtime and moved to the Top 10 songs in 2016 alongside Vision DJ and AI’s “Grind”.

He won the Song Writer of the Year and Best New Artiste of the Year awards at the 2016 edition of the Ghana Music awards.

Kofi Kinaata is currently signed onto Samini’s High Grade Family records.
