Confession hitmaker Kofi Kinaata, who picked up three awards (including Songwriter of the Year for the second time running) returns to his home city of Takoradi this Saturday for a grand float through the principal streets of the town in a special appreciation gesture.

Takoradi has served as a strong pillar for the High Grade Family musician, and he looks to reiterate his loyalty to the city that raised him on Saturday.

A key highlight of the “mega float” is the showcasing of the plaques he picked up at the 18th annual Ghana Music Awards. There’ll also be brass band, Jama┬ásessions, and and a DJ set during the float.

Starting at 10 am at Efiekuma No. 9, participate are expected to be dressed in Kinaata- branded t-shirts.

Kofi Kinaata also picked up awards for Best Highlife Artist and Best Highlife Song at the awards, and follows in the steps of Best New Act Fancy Gadam, who received a rapturous welcome when he returned to Tamale with his award.
