Spoken word act Mutombo Da Poet’s new piece discusses the pressure of having to conform to convention, and why it makes us unable to completely execute our purpose in life.
Shot by Ofoli Kwei, this piece follows other widely-received projects as Some Other Place, and FEMUR. He also appeared on the title rack to rapper Joey B’s forthcoming debut album 89.
Mutombo first made an appearance unto the spoken word scene in 2006. He is author of the landmark Photosentences album (released in 2012), and is director of Wanlov Da Kubolor’s saucy new single My Toto.
