Rapper/ producer J Town recently graduated with a Bachelor of Audio (Studio Production) degree from the School of Audio Engineering (SAE Institute) in Dubai. He also registered the highest GPA of his class, and was awarded an Excellence Award in Creativity.

He spoke to Live FM’s Antoine Mensah about the feat in a telephone interview, touching on what the course was about, as well as what possibilities are now available to him.

Established in 1976, the school is among leading institutions offering creative courses as audio engineering, 3D animation, multimedia, graphic design, game design, digital filmmaking, and music production. It currently has campuses and facilities, including licensed franchise operations, in 54 cities in 30 countries.

The hiphop act first shot to continental acclaim as a contestant in Sprite’s 2008 ‘Emcee Africa’ rap competition held in South Africa. He has been associated with Channel O as a presenter, and collaborated on records with major Ghanaian and international acts including Sarkodie, Ice Prince, Samini,  Dex Kwasi, Dee Moneey, Shatta Wale, Solo, Raquel, David Jay, Navio, C-Real, Edem, Jupiter among others.
