The maiden edition of the globally-acclaimed Ignite Talks in Accra came off successfully at the Silverbird Cinemas, Accra Mall on February 25.
The Ignite talk currently held in hundreds of locations across the world and originating from Seattle, Washington in 2006, is a series of short and fun presentations in which speakers quickly share inspirational ideas using 20 automatically-advancing slides.
Accra’s first edition which was organized by creative house BEKOFI, featured branding expert Bernard Kelvin Clive, who touched on Rebranding and reinventing yourself; Spoken word artist Rhyme Sonny talked about everyone especially Poets planting a tree (Poetry) to sustain life and symbolize vision.
Joyce Ahiadorme, Corporate Affairs Manager of Voltic Ghana Ltd, talked on the topic ‘Ask Why?’ which sort to address innovative ways to protect and enhance the environment especially water bodies. Digital media expert Kwabena Okyire Appianing gave a presentation on making the best out of your social media accounts and placing value on your posts to create business.
The exciting and inspirational talk event was well attended by tertiary students, young entrepreneurs, startup business executives and members of the general public. Participants were treated to inspiring and innovative ideas.
