Nigerian on-air personality Ife Ajagbe will host award-winning Ghanaian singer Wiyaala in a conversation via Twitter this evening. This year (like the past couple of years), is turning out to be a very busy for the singer, athlete, and designer, who is also scheduled to visit Nairobi to record with singers Falsetto Chorus in coming days.
The #CelebStopOver series has also engaged top Nigerian acts including Niyola, GT The Guitar Man, Bez Idakula, Suspekt, and EME’s Shaydee in intriguing conversation in the past. Radio presenter on Nigeria’s Metro FM, Ife explores never-before heard aspects of Wiyaala, who is among the country’s most sought-after female vocalists.
The session starts at 5 pm, and fans can also join in the conversation by sending in their questions using the hashtag #CelebStopOver.
Her singles including Kandibanye (Had I known), Tuma, Sun and Moon and Leno, have ensured that she has become among Africa’s most prominent music exports, touring top destinations across the globe including Wales, Hull, London, Hamburg, Los Angeles, among others.
Noella Wiyaala (known under the stage name Wiyaala) sings in her native Sissala and Waale dialects, as well as English. She shot to national prominence as member of Ghanaian band Black N Peach (winners of Vodafone ICONS 2012). She has since gone solo and become a global performer. She’s currently brand ambassador for PepsiCo in West Africa, as well as Converse All Stars for Ghana since 2014.
She’s currently signed to Djimba World Records, and JTV Digital.
