Veteran dancehall act Samini, and Nigerian star Tekno have crowned a blistering evening of live performances at this year’s edition of Charter House’s Ghana Rocks concert. Performing the hit songs “Samini (rain god)”, and Pana respectively, they crowned what will go down as one of the biggest nights for reggae/dancehall in the past few years, and a historic evening for Stonebwoy.
Dubbed “The BHIM Concert”, the concert also witnessed energetic performances from Ras Kuuku, Medikal, Solo hitmaker Article Wan, Rudebwoy Ranking, Kofi Kinaata, MzVee, Luther, Eazzy, Jupitar, Cabum, Kaakie, Trigmatic among others, which kept patrons on their feet for most of the performances.
Stonebwoy performed from his extensive catalogue of songs including Gbede Gbede, Run Go, Baafira, Go Higher, Bhim Nation, Onumade, Wicked, Pull Up, Climax among others. He was also joined onstage by several members of the fraternity to give patrons a night to remember.
Organisers suggested a return to the original intention of celebrating a particular artist with each concert, hence Stonebuoy headlining on this occasion.
The annual event has paraded some of the most prominent Ghanaian and UK-based acts including Ofori Amponsah, Samini, Chipmunk among others.
