International Ghanaian singer Jojo Abot, ahead of her groundbreaking gig at the Times Square (U.S) on New Year’s Eve, delivered what has already been described a spiritual performance to crown the 29016 edition of  alternative music platform Sabolai Radio. She rendered songs off her EP. Titled FYFYA WOTO, released in June last year.

The concert ( a two- part series) came off the Efua Sutherland Park, starting with the Accra Cookout on December 22, and Sabolai Radio Live on December 23. Several emerging musicians and spoken word acts took turns to render jaw-dropping performances  at the event which is a famous gestation ground for budding talent. They include singer Daddo, Worlasi, Ayat, Joey B, Jayso, DJ Keyzuz, Oga Chux, Tinuke, sisters Shugar and Marge, Kaycey Moore, Boyd, Mawuli Fudoglo, Mensah Highliife

Put together by art collective Accra Dot Alt, the event, which has been running for the past five years, has been described as “the largest African indie music showcase in West Africa”, providing a platform for brilliant acts across hip hop, AfroBeat, traditional fusion, soul, electronic and rock music.
