Former Joy FM host Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is headed for parliament, preliminary results from the Ofoase-Ayiribi constituency results.
Mr. Oppong Nkrumah, who ran in the ticked of the opposition New patriotic Party (NPP) polled 16,845 votes with the results of just four polling stations yet to be announced, Joy FM reports. His closest rival, the PPP’s John Obiri Yeboah polled 8,751 with the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s Tom Kenneth Budu securing 7,847 votes.
Kojo hails from Koforidua in the Easter region of Ghana and is graduate of the University of Cape Coast, University of Ghana, and GIMPA. In 2016 he was called to the Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana. Till 2014 he has host of Joy FM‘s flagship programme the Super Morning Show. He’s founder of a Private Equity Firm, West Brownstone Capital.
