A Tamale-based radio presenter and blogger Nash Iddi, has expressed his dissatisfaction about how the overlord of Tamale Mohammed Alhasan Dawuni keeps enskining Southern Acts instead of the indigenes of the town who are promoting the culture of the area through their music.
Zaa Radio’s weekend entertainment talk show host disclosed this in an interview with Sammy Flex on Accra-based Pluzz FM said; “We can’t be enskinning strangers at the detriment of our own people. Bear in mind; in Dagbon, when you are giving titles you can hold it or your family can hold that title from generation to generation. I think the likes of Sherifa Gunu and others who are promoting the Northern culture through their music should rather be given such titles or enskinned to boost or encourage the young ones”.
His comments come after the enskinment of Stonebwoy and Samini recently; the former being given the title Sapashini (Dancehall Warrior ), the later; YilaNaa (king of music ).
Samini yesterday had his well publicized Sallah Fest Show in Tamale postpone due to heavy downpour.
