Ghanaian filmmaker Amma Asante is among 400 film makers looking to shine at this year’s Toronto Film Festival.
The BAFTA award-winner is among thirty directors representing the UK at the prestigious event.
A United Kingdom is based on the true story of Botswana’s first president, Seretse Khama, who fell in love with a London office worker, Ruth Williams, who became the First Lady of Botswana.
The star-studded cast of the movie includes David Oyelowo, Rosamund Pike, Tom Felton, Jack Davenport, Abena Ayivor, Vusi Kunene and Terry Pheto.
The Toronto International Film Festival is schedule to take place from 8-18 September.
