Afro-trap act Dex Kwasi has expressed his intention to bridge the gap between American and Ghanaian listeners with his direction of music. He believes this is possible for him especially as he has been nurtured by both cultures and sounds. Dex was born in Dallas, Texas to Ghanaian parents, and relocated to Ghana at age six. He has made occasional backs-and-forths since then, but discloses to Live FM‘s Antoine Mensah that he’s seriously considering to relocate completely to Ghana to focus on his music.
Dex, who months ago, released his impressive Serious Jollof EP, was at the station to promote his latest single Bass. He also indicates that he’s got enough material for release but will not rush things unless the timing is absolutely right.
He also reveals that he’s interested in other ventures apart from simply making /producing music, such as his intentions of starting a record label in 6 months, and venturing into real estate eventually.
Already, Dex Kwasi (known previously as N-Dex) has been associated with major contemporary rappers Sarkodie, EL, among others. He’s also appeared on major local and international platforms as SXSW, and Southern Hospitality (UK).
