As expected, the annual Chale Wote Street Arts Festival attracted thousands to Jamestown last week. The event, a week-long exhibition of diverse art was crowned Sunday August 21.

Some of Ghana’s favorite celebrities showed up the event. They include KOD, Deborah Vanessa, Wanlov the Kubolor, Nana Yaa, M.anifest, Blitz the Ambassador, Berimah Sydney, Herald Amenya, Pappy Kojo, Epixode, DJ Blow, among others.

Started in 2011, the Chale Wote Street Arts Festival aims at promoting alternative art through street painting, graffiti murals, photography, theater, spoken word, interactive art installations, live street performances, extreme sports, film shows, a fashion parade, a music block party, recyclable design workshops, among others.
