Mr Tay, 24, joins contestants from over 40 other countries and has assured to represent Ghana creditably.
This year’s contest comes off at the Southport Theatre and Convention Centre, and the winner traditionally lives in England during his reign.
Started in 1996 and sponsored by the Miss World Organization, the biennial competition sees entrants compete in various physical challenges as well as a talent showcase. The current Mister World is Nicklas Pedersen (Denmark), and was crowned in June 2014.
