Host of Angel FM’s Morning Show, Kwame Adinkra, is joining Atinka 104.7 FM, the new station operating in capital, Accra.

A source familiar with the arrangement has told enewsgh.com that a deal has been reached, paving way for the man many call Opotitimati to join.

For years Kumasi’s biggest voice on Morning Radio, Adinkra is currently on leave at his current station. He is not returning, friends have told enewsgh.com.

A meeting of the management of Atinka and its presenters (joined, and ready to, including Adinkra) is expected to take place at the station’s offices at Kokomlemle (in the same area as the Bayport Financial Services) in Accra this weekend. enewsgh.com has this on good authority.

Adinkra, who recently got married, is expected to go live on air next week. enewsgh.com is however told pressure is on him to stay at Angel.

Other presenters joining include Roman Father of Sika FM, whom we are told will be made head of their Arts and Entertainment department. Also joining is Candyman formerly of the Adabraka-based Rainbow Radio.

Owned by Samuel Amo Tobin of local pharmaceutical giants Tobinco Pharmaceuticals, Atinka FM formerly operated as Sena Radio. They will compete in the Twi-speaking, mass market demographic.

In a subtle announcement, Adinkra recently interviewed at the Flagstaff House on the latter's two-year tenure in office. It was aired on Angel FM as well as some other stations across the country
In a subtle announcement of what to expect of him, Adinkra recently interviewed President John Mahama at the Flagstaff House on the latter’s two-year tenure in office. It was aired on Angel FM as well as some other stations across the country

The station has already acquired the services of Kofi Asare Brako, who has since left Asempa FM.

enewsgh.com is told some more names will join the station in what managers hope will be a quick re-branding of the 104.7 frequency.

Samuel Tobin owns a number of business interests including Priority Insurance and Abii National Savings and Loans.
