The General Manager of Adabraka-based CITI FM, Samuel Attah Mensah, has been picked up for questioning by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI).
It is believed he is being questioned over a story his outfit ran online on Sunday evening, on an alleged cocaine bust at London’s Heathrow Airport involving a Ghanaian woman.
He’s been denied access to his lawyers, Egbert Faibille, an Accra-based Lawyer said in a post on the social network site Facebook.
“BNI has detained Samuel Attah-Mensah of Citi FM and will not allow his lawyer access to him,” he wrote.
His claim has been corroborated by the station’s report (online) on this matter. It partly reads “…his lawyer, Nii Apatu Plange was not allowed to join him for the interrogation.”
Samuel Attah-Mensah is also the Vice President of the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA)
