Equatorial Guinea will replace Morocco as hosts of the 2015 African Cup of Nations, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) today announced.

Th announcement brings to closure weeks of uncertainty over a possible host after the North African country did a u-turn of sorts – insisting hosting the tournament wasn’t a good idea due to concerns over Ebola.

CAF subsequently banned them from the tournament and promised to announce a new host in days.

In a related development, Ghana’s Black Stars have arrived in Uganda ahead of tomorrow’s crucial encounter with the Cranes.

Ghana is seeking for one of the available slots at January’s games.

The team will be led by Dede Ayew, who is standing in for injured captain, Asamoah Gyan.
