Kwabena Kwabena is getting ready to host the second edition of the ‘Save a Life’ Concert.
The event, set for November 22, will be held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
A formal launch took place at the National Cardiothoracic Center of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra on Monday.
Samini, M.anifest, Efya, Becca, Gyedu Blay Ambulley, Pat Thomas, and Okyeame Kwame among other acts, will support him on the night, organizers say.
In it’s second year, it seeks to raise funds to support the National Cardiothoracic Center of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, which keeps struggling with issues of funding for underprivileged patients who are not able to meet the full costs of surgeries.
Kwabena Kwabena tells enewsgh.com that he decided to do this because he found it socially beneficial, and also as a contribution to an effective local healthcare system.
“I had an experience way back in school; one of our colleagues had a hole in heart condition. You realize that it created a whole lot of panicking in the school. With that, and with me being an artiste that has been supported for years, i see that as me giving back to society.”
The concert is powered by KBKB Music with support from some corporate bodies.
